Stork Services Maritime is a leading supplier of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equivalent spare parts for main propulsion and power generating engines. A strong engineering base, supplier network, and stock positions in the Netherlands (Rotterdam area) and Asia (Singapore) make it a reliable supplier for shipping companies worldwide.

 

Stork Services Maritime was acquired by Stibbe Participaties from the Dutch publicly listed company Stork NV. As a non-strategic division within Stork, its customer proposition and performance levels had been underdeveloped. Stibbe Participaties improved the completeness of the product portfolio for a wide number of engine types while strengthening its commercial organization at the same time. This was achieved in close cooperation with Stibbe sister companies Marine and Power, the Bloksma Group and Diesel Technology Solutions.

 

The operation in the Netherlands was turned into a highly profitable trading activity and synergy with the successful Asia hub was optimized. Stork Services Maritime was sold to Damen shipyards in 2006, which sought to further improve its position on the strategic aftermarket by acquiring a solid and profitable leading supplier of engine spare parts.
